Could Tiger Woods be a Champions League good luck charm?
Could US Masters winning golfer Tiger Woods be a Champions League good luck charm for Liverpool as they go into their semi-final with Barcelona?
The Reds are through to the second last round of the competition thanks to a massive 6-1 aggregate win over Porto over two legs.
They last won the Champions League in 2005 thanks to one of the most epic finals that’s ever been witnessed – but could history about to be repeated?
Well, if you’re suspicious, this one fact will give you fresh hope. The last time Woods won the US Masters was back in 05. He’s been through some tough times since then. A lot of lows, a few highs. But he’s back with a fresh trophy and an incredible story.

Liverpool have a few parallels with Tiger. Their last major win was in the Champions League in 2005. They’ve also been through a few lows under Roy Hodgson and a few highs under Brendan Rodgers and Jurgen Klopp.
And if the universe is going to run side by side, they should be due to beat the Catalans and then whoever wins the Tottenham vs Ajax semi.
There is a connection between Woods and Liverpool and it’s Andy Robertson, who admitted that he’d rather watch Tiger’s win than take in the Manchester City vs Crystal Palace game.
Robertson said he took in the historic victory with James Milner while they were both in the treatment room. Not being overly concerned with what City are doing is a good thing as well and it’ll allow the Reds to be fully focused on their own game.
Klopp just has to keep the wins coming, starting with their next Premier League game against Cardiff on Sunday before they take on Huddersfield Town five days after that.

Liverpool have a fairly kind run in towards the back end of this season, but they still can’t afford to take their finger off the pulse.
