Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will sell highly rated young forward Harry Wilson this summer.

Journalist Jack Sear tweeted that Klopp hasn’t been convincing about Wilson’s future with the Reds and is prepared to let him go for the right price.

This is bound to disappoint large numbers of the Liverpool faithful, who have been excited by how the 22-year-old has performed across his loan spells with Hull City and Derby County.

During the second half of last season, the Wales international was in blistering form for the Tigers and scored seven goals in 14 appearances while registering four assists.

Under Frank Lampard, Wilson has had an excellent season and recently hit a double to move Derby County back into the promotion play-off places.

Lampard has taken the forward and used him in nearly ever game as the Welshman has racked up 42 appearances across three competitions with 14 goals and four assists.

According to Transfermarkt, the lad is only worth £7.20m but you can imagine Wilson would for for far more than that if Klopp decided to sell him.

With Michael Edwards driving transfer negotiations, you can be sure that the Reds will get far more than that for one of their best loan talents.

Rumours have suggested that Atletico Madrid would spend big on Marko Grujic, so there’s every chance Liverpool could sell two players who haven’t been anywhere near the first team to fund some big moves.

But with a gap in the squad for a rotation option in the forward line, there will be a lot of Reds supporters who really want to see Wilson given a chance in the senior squad next season.

He’s only played once for Liverpool, but the last 18 months have shown that he’s got the ability to find the back of the net and can handle playing more than once a week.

Give him a go Klopp!
