Liverpool forward Sadio Mane was horrified to find out he has actually been slower than Jordan Henderson in the Champions League this season.

While Liverpool fans have begun to appreciated the talents of Jordan Henderson a lot more in recent weeks, they could have never have guessed this revelation: he has been faster than Sadio Mane in the Champions League. And the Senegalese forward can’t believe it either

UEFA put together a little game of ‘Faster or Slower’ for Mane. The basic is idea is that they name something and he has to guess if he has been faster or slower than that thing.

More from Rush The Kop

He has reached a top speed of 31.5 mph this year and there were a few surprises in the quiz. He guessed he was slower than a dragonfly but at 29mph he is faster than that bug.

Then came the big shock: Jordan Henderson reached a top speed of 32.6 mph during last summer’s FIFA World Cup for England.

You can see Mane almost choke with embarrassment. Obviously top speed isn’t *everything*. I think we can all safely assume that Sadio has better acceleration.

We then find out that he is faster than Trent Alexander-Arnold, a polar bear and a Galápagos tortoise. However he slower than a black mamba snake, a giraffe and Usain Bolt. (Shocker).

Mane scored his 19th and 20th goals in the Premier League this season during the 5-0 against Huddersfield on Friday. He has four goals in the Champions League this term and has scored in every round so far.

Reds are hoping he can keep that going against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final over the next week or so. The first leg is tomorrow night at the Nou Camp.
