Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp gets VIP Ibiza treatment because he’s managed to beat Real Madrid three times in his managerial career.

The Reds gaffer has come up against Los Blancos six times for Borussia Dortmund and once for Liverpool – and walked away with a hat-trick of victories.

One of the most famous encounters was when Dortmund smashed Madrid 4-1, with Roberto Lewandowski hitting all the goals for the Yellow and Black.

But Klopp couldn’t bring that magic touch to the Champions League final last year, when a couple of Loris Karius errors and a Gareth Bale worldie meant Real walked away with another European triumph.

However, speaking ahead of Liverpool’s clash against Barcelona, the German revealed that he gets preferential treatment on the party island of Ibiza because of his previous heroics.

The Guardian wrote that Klopp said: “Because I’ve beaten Real Madrid a couple of times one day I got a table in a full restaurant in Ibiza.”

Upon entry, the gaffer thought he had no chance securing a spot to each – until the staff there recognized the German and ushered him through with full ceremonial pomp.

Klopp continued: “When they realised I was Jürgen Klopp they said: ‘’Jürgen Klopp, you beat Real Madrid! Come on in'”.

Madrid were interested in recruiting the Liverpool manager to take the reigns after their surprise 4-1 Champions League loss against Ajax, said the Telegraph, but Klopp wasn’t interested in leaving Merseyside just yet and so the Spanish outfit went back to their former boss Zinedine Zidane.

Liverpool may not need to beat Real again but they have an even tougher task ahead of them – take down the mighty Barcelona.

Barca have already won La Liga and have a fine array of attacking talent ready to make life difficult for the Reds defence. Lionel Messi appears to be getting better and better while Luis Suarez won’t do his old employers any favours.
