Liverpool vs Newcastle: Paddy Power launch urgent appeal to Rafa Benitez
Bookmakers Paddy Power have launched an urgent appeal on behalf of all Liverpool fans to Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez.
The Reds take on the Magpies in the Premier League on Saturday night and the man who led them to Champions League glory in 2005 will be plotting against them.
Jurgen Klopp needs to keep on winning games all while hoping Manchester City drop points, but Paddy Power have released a video that called on Benitez to do the unthinkable and play Mike Ashley in goal and Paul Dummit up front. Watch it at the end of this article!
The Toon have been battling relegation for the other season and were finally confirmed safe from the drop a few weeks ago. So with nothing to play for, will Rafa ‘do the right thing’ and allow Liverpool three points in pursuit of their league ambitions?

Liverpool should be able to beat Newcastle anyway. With two forwards competing for the Golden Boot in Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, the Reds will have the firepower to blow away a Newcastle defence that has been fragile at times.
City play former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City on Monday night and you can be sure that the same appeal will be made to Rodgers when the time comes.
The Reds could be two points above Pep Guardiola’s side by the end of the weekend and Leicester have been in good form since Rodgers took the reigns.
With Jamie Vardy firing, James Maddison at his creative best and loan-midfielder Youri Tielemans influencing games left, right and center and upset could be on the cards.
This is a title race that could really go down to the wire as both sides don’t look like dropping another point between now and the end of the season. But will Rafa do the right thing? We’ll find out on Saturday evening.
