Liverpool appear as if they’ll fall just short of Premier League and Champions League glory but how will history remember this team? Arlo White has more.

White then called Jurgen Klopp’s side unlucky for being matched against two of football’s biggest ‘juggernauts’ in Pep Guardiola and Lionel Messi.

But in the instant-result obsessed, social media driven world this wouldn’t be enough for some people – added White. Being a runner up in the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League and League Cup doesn’t taste the same as winning something, anything.

Klopp is being criticised for a lack of trophies, but the club now has status. A reputation as one of Europe’s elite, which is better than winning the League Cup – continued White. However, the journalist concluded, next summer and next season would be vital for the club.
