Liverpool vs Barcelona: Jurgen Klopp to execute another selection curveball
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is set to execute another selection curveball by handing Rhian Brewster his debut against Barcelona in the Champions League.
The Reds are wrecked by injuries as Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah have been ruled out of the Tuesday night clash and as a result the Daily Mail reported that Brewster is in line to play against Barca.
Brewster was named in the squad against Newcastle United on Saturday night but didn’t make the field, but that could all change on the biggest stage of them all.
Liverpool are chasing a 3-0 lead after the first leg and will need to pull off one of the most unlikely scorelines in recent Champions League history if they are to make the final in Madrid, but this is a club who are used to doing the improbable in Europe.

The 19-year-old looked set for big things when he won the Golden Boot at the U17 World Cup two years ago but has been kept out the side by his own injury problems.
Brewster has had to wait a while for his senior chance, but Klopp confirmed that the forward will be involved a lot more during the 2019/2020 campaign when he spoke to the press before the Barcelona game.
Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi could also be involved at some point, said the manager, who needs to replace Firmino and Salah in the team. Daniel Sturridge played against Newcastle but Gini Wijnaldum featured up front during the week and it’ll be interesting to see if that experiment is persisted with.
Another player coming back from a long term problem is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who picked up a slight muscle strain warming up on Saturday and therefor trained individually during the week.
