5 reasons Liverpool fans can have real hope for Brighton result v Man City
By David Gate
Liverpool fans are praying that Brighton & Hove Albion can get a result against Man City and help deliver the Premier League title to Anfield. Here are five reasons to believe it happens:
It is easy to think that it would be a lost cause. But after the genuine miracle comeback against Barcelona this week, nothing is impossible with Liverpool Football Club. Except the fate of the Premier League doesn’t lie at Anfield; it lies with Brighton & Hove Albion against Man City.
The Manchester side are one point ahead of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League. The Reds need Brighton to get a result against their rivals and then win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Victory is required for Jurgen Klopp’s men and Wolves are no easy task but having the came at Anfield gives them a huge advantage. Mathematically there is the billion-to-one scenario that City could lose by five goals and Liverpool draw. Or they could lose by four goals and Liverpool draw by 4-4 or even higher.
Yeah. Liverpool have to win.
But after watching City go on a 13 game week streak to get to this point there is little hope that they won’t get one more and clinch the title for the second year running.
However there are some reasons to believe it won’t just be a parade for City on the south coast. Miracles can happen, that have already this week, and there is history and statistics to help back that up.
I’m not going to convince that it will happen (it probably won’t) not that it is even likely (it isn’t) but I will show how it is possible and your hope that Liverpool can win the title is not foolishness.
