Liverpool are one of the premier destinations for top talent this transfer window and Italian international Domenico Berardi is begging to move to Anfield.

Two Champions League finals in two years turns people’s heads. While we are all coming to terms with the disappointment of losing the Premier League title race yesterday, many see glory ahead for the Reds. That includes Domenico Berardi who is begging Klopp to pick him up on a transfer this summer.

The Express are reporting that Italian international striker Berardi wants to leave Serie A mid-table side Sassuolo this summer. There has been much speculation that he would head to one of the Milan sides, but his preferred destination is Anfield:

More from Rush The Kop

“If an offer arrives, be it from Milan or another club, I will evaluate it with my club and if I hear that it is the right proposal… this time I will say to Sassuolo: ‘I’ll take it’.” Being able to choose, I would play in Liverpool.”

The Reds could be in the market for a forward this summer with Daniel Sturridge poised to leave and despite Jurgen Klopp highly rating young forward Rhian Brewster.

Berardi is an interesting option. He has nine goals and five assists and made his international debut last year. Transfermarkt.co.uk has him valued at only £16.2 million. While that is on the conservative end of market value he certainly wouldn’t be a bank breaking option for the club.

He has largely played on the right side of a front three – where Mohamed Salah plays for Liverpool – but can operate as a central striker. Whoever Klopp decides to sign to bolster the attack this summer will have positional flexibility.

Seeing as this rumor is only from the player’s side at moment we have to think it is not a likely road for Liverpool to take. Especially as they can pick up Julian Brandt for only £25 million.
