There is over two weeks until the Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid. With so much time to kill fans are clambering for the latest injury updates, particularly on Roberto Firmino and Andrew Robertson.
The Scotsman spoke yesterday about his calf injury which he picked up from Luis Suarez in the second leg of the semi-final with Barcelona last week. He ended up playing through the pain barrier against Wolverhampton Wanderers as the Reds were clinging on to the hope of the Premier League title.

The Mirror report him saying: “I could feel it during the game. It wasn’t the best against Wolves but I wanted to play and was desperate to get out there. The adrenaline kept me going.”
Robertson goes on to say the three-week gap between the games gives him plenty of time to be ready for the final:
“Luckily now we’ve got a couple of weeks to recover and get our bodies right and we’ll know we’ll be as fresh as we can be going into the final.”
There is less forthcoming news on Roberto Firmino. That is stoking fears that he could be limited against Spurs or even miss the game entirely.
Yet Jurgen Klopp moved to reassure fans on Sunday when he said:
“We have time before the final and that should be enough.
The initial diagnosis of a thigh abductor injury now appears to be a groin issue that is slightly more serious and hard to predict recovery time. It is very likely he will appear in some capacity but we will not know until close to the final to what extent.
A fully healthy Firmino would give Liverpool a huge boost and help justify the short odds that have made the Reds favorites to lift the trophy.
