Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is getting ready for the Champions League final but has some bad news as Rafa Camacho looks set to reject the Reds and leave Anfield.

Liverpool manager is focussed in on preparing to face Spurs in the Champions League final next weekend but will surely be disappointed to know the club will likely lose highly rated youngster Rafa Camacho this summer.

The 19-year-old has been at Anfield for three years since his move from Man City and has been a crucial part of the Under-18’s and Under-23’s squads over the last few seasons.

He came as a pacy winger with great technique but has been developed by the Liverpool youth academy and Jurgen Klopp to play at full back. His progress has been similar to Trent Alexander-Arnold and so losing him is a blow.

Ironically it is Alexander-Arnold’s emergence that will hinder his path into the first team. So while he can look to the Scouser as an example of youth development, he is also the player that stands in his way.

Camacho has a year left on his contract but has indicated he won’t sign a long-term deal and so will be sold in this transfer window. Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sporting Lisbon have both shown interest as the Reds price him around £10 million.

That money for a teenager whose deal is expiring? Tells you all you need to know about his quality and reputation.

Selling Camacho and, likely, Nathaniel Clyne will still not prompt Liverpool to sign a new right back. With Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez able to handle immediate first team duties, the Reds would rather promote Ki-Jana Hoever to be the third option at the position.

Thankfully Camacho was not included in the 26-man squad that has travelled to Marbella ahead of the Champions League final.
