Liverpool could fund Nicolas Pepe transfer with Wilson and Camacho sales

Liverpool could fund a big money transfer move for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe by offloading Harry Wilson and Rafa Camacho according to reports.
Jurgen Klopp is fully focussed on Saturday’s Champions League Final with Tottenham Hotspur but sporting director Michael Edwards is honing in on the summer transfer targets. The latest reports have them eyeing up a move for Nicolas Pepe of Lille which they could fund by selling Rafa Camacho and Harry Wilson.
Pepe has risen to prominence this year after a breakout season where he racked up 22 goals and 11 assists for Lille in Ligue 1. The 24-year-old is about to hit his prime and big clubs smell a bargain if they can snap him up now and continue his development.

Liverpool are being linked to him as they look to add another forward into the rotation next season to cope with the loss of Daniel Sturridge on a free transfer.
There have been mixed reports about Liverpool’s spending intentions in this transfer window. Many reports suggest there will be no major additions – only a couple of younger squad players – while other suggest one or two big name will come in.
However the chances of the Reds laying down some big transfer fees increase dramatically if they decide to cash in on their talented youngsters.
Harry Wilson has had a fantastic season on loan at Derby County, narrowly missing out on promotion in the Championship playoff final on Monday. He is in huge demand for both loan deals and full transfers and the club could command a fee of nearly £25 million for him. If a deal like that emerges I don’t think they hesitate to accept.
Rafa Camacho has been unhappy with his opportunities to break into the first team this season. He is likely to agitate for a move this summer with his contract running out in a year’s time. Liveroool would prefer he signs a new deal but they will sell him now rather than let him leave for free next year.
Add to those the likely dale of Ryan Kent and the possible departure of Adam Lallana and you can see how easily a big pot of cash would come together to help boost the first team forward line.
