Mohamed Salah ridicules Harry Kane ahead of Champions League final
By David Gate
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has a joke at Harry Kane ahead of the pair meeting in the Champions League final tomorrow night in Madrid.
Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah has won the Premier League golden boot two years in a row and couldn’t help but have a little dig at Spurs striker Harry Kane before the two meet in tomorrow’s Champions League final.
Speaking to Gary Linekar for BT Sport the Liverpool forward began talking about Harry Kane and the Englishman’s goalscoring record. He describes Kane as ‘top competition’ and ‘top player for his team’.

He then says he was the top scorer in English football which is followed by a little pause and he adds “…before I came!”.
Kane had won the Golden Boot in both 2015/16 and 2016/17 before Salah arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2017 from Roma. Since then it has been all Mo!
The Egyptian forward tallied a record 32 goals in his debut Premier League season and followed that up with 22 goals this year. He shared this season’s Golden Boot trophy with Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
That means Liverpool have had THREE golden boot winners since the last time Kane got his slimy hands on the trophy.

Harry Kane caused a stir last season when he appealed to have a Christian Eriksen goal given to him after phantom touch from the England striker. There were videos of him swearing on his daughter’s life that he touched the ball even though you can’t see it on the video.
That desperation didn’t pay off as Salah won the race anyway!
I’m sure both players would swap their golden boot awards in order to take home the Champions League final trophy tomorrow. It would be the first major trophy for either players in their productive careers.
