We’re all celebrating Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno tonight
Liverpool men Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno will leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season. This is why we’re all celebrating them.
The BBC has reported that Reds duo Sturridge and Moreno will not be a part of the squad for 2019/2020, and while the writing has been on the wall for some time, we should still take a moment to celebrate them.
Both have seen their Liverpool career fade away with the passage of time, but both provided fans with plenty of reasons to smile during their stays on Merseyside.
Sturridge will be known for his heroics alongside Luis Suarez when he scored 24 goals during his debut campaign at Anfield, while Moreno always gave his all and will be remembered as an excellent character and a top bloke.

And don’t forget, we’ll always have that photo to cherish of the Spaniard being an absolutely loose unit flying around the city walking his dog on a hoverboard. Who wouldn’t want that in their side?
There’s been an incredible unity from the rotation options this campaign, and while Moreno had a small wobbler about his lack of involvement, neither play has done much to damage that.
And he might have even had a point, especially after just five appearances during 2018/2019 – even when Andy Robertson wasn’t available James Milner was preferred.
Jurgen Klopp has spoken highly about the pair, and the gaffer appeared to be genuinely happy that they were able to sign off their time at Melwood with a Champions League victory.
Granted, Moreno didn’t do much to further that cause but Sturridge scored an important goal and was always ready for action.
Where will they end up next, who knows? Both could still do a job in the Premier League, perhaps former Reds boss Rafa Benitez would like to take them to Newcastle United.
