Liverpool fans are reacting to the confirmed transfer news that the Reds are signing Northern Irish youngster Conor Bradley.

Now we are deep into June, Liverpool fans are jonesing for some transfer news. While we are grateful to get any fix, the confirmed move of Conor Bradley to Anfield is not quite enough to get the pulse racing.

The youngster from Northern Ireland is 15-years-old and will join up with the Reds on July 9th which is his 16th birthday. He will join the Liverpool academy from Dungannon United on a two-year scholarship deal.

The Northern Irish under-16 captain will move into the Liverpool Under-18s squad to develop under the watchful eye of Barry Lewtas. He will be joining a team on the rise as they clinched the FA Youth Cup over Man City on penalties back in April.

Bradley is an attacking midfielder who is fast and loves to chip in with goals and assists. Hopefully it will not be long before he is making his mark in the youth setup and knocking on the door of inclusion with the reserves.

He only has to look at Trent Alexander-Arnold – who is just four years his senior – to see how hard work and quality is rewarded at Melwood.

After quickly googling who Conor Bradley is, Liverpool fans are now scouring news sources for rumors of first team transfers. It has been slim pickings this summer with no strong links to any targets.

The question is are the club doing their business silently or will they simply not spend much at all this summer to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s squad to chase after a first league title in 30 years?

Many believe the reason things have been quiet is the club are going to back the current squad with only a few minor additions. I would rather us spend big while we are on top to consolidate the remarkable progress of the last three seasons.
