Liverpool are set to make Bruno Fernandes their first big summer signing according to the bookies as transfer odds plummet for Anfield move.

Now this has gotten interesting. The bookmakers have crashed the odds of Bruno Fernandes moving to Liverpool. The Reds are now heavy transfer favorites at 1/9 to complete his signing.

There was a flurry of transfer speculation last night after Fernandes posted an Instagram picture of himself and family leaving for somewhere on a jet plane. Liverpool twitter spent a few hours joking about tracking planes and more than a few downers (ie. reasonable people) kindly informed the rest that he was probably just on his way home from holiday.

However, over night the bookmakers have slashed their odds on the Portuguese attacker moving to Anfield. They 1/9 with both Betfair and Paddy Power with Betvictor keeping him at 1/7.

Manchester United are known to be desperate for his signature but with no Champions League football, a dire squad and the overwhelmed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager there is little chance Fernandes wants to move to Old Trafford. They have moved to 3/1 to get his signature.

Manchester City are former favorites for the transfer but they have now risen to 25/1 for the signing as they close in on Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri instead.

There has been no word from any journalists close to the club on the validity of the transfer rumors. That will be taken now as a positive sign. The club have been very cautious with the local journalists after the Virgil van Dijk saga in the summer of 2017.
