Liverpool transfer revelation increases Bruno Fernandes speculation
By David Gate
The latest Liverpool transfer news has only increase speculation that a move for Sporting Lisbon attacker Bruno Fernandes is imminent.
There are very few high-profile rumors surrounding Liverpool Football Club in this transfer window. Even the ones there have been have not stuck around for long but interest in Bruno Fernandes has been as consistent as any of them.
Liverpool are massive favorites to sign the Portuguese playmaker after bookies slashed their odd to 1/9 on to move to Anfield. Now the latest piece of transfer news is only pouring gasoline on the speculation fire.

The club announced yesterday that they have agreed to sell Rafa Camacho to Sporting Lisbon for £5 million plus add-ons. There are some appealing clauses in his contract but fans are surprised to see his move for almost half the rumored transfer fee.
Granted that the Reds were not in a strong negotiating position with Camacho refusing to sign a new contract with his deal expiring next summer. However fans are surprised the notoriously shrewd Michael Edwards let this one go cheaper than the market suggested.
Fans are putting two and two together and getting Bruno Fernandes. The Camacho deal was done quickly, easily and cheaply in order to grease the wheels of a Liverpool transfer for the £60 million attacker.
It has been interesting to see a number of journalists keen to shoot down the Nicolas Pepe rumors but remain totally silent about these Fernandes whispers.
I do think the player wants to move to Liverpool – looking at our team and manager who would blame him? However I would be surprised if they are viewing him as a midfield option with the depth they have at the position.
But as a supplement attacker? To play as Philippe Coutinho did under Jurgen Klopp in the gaps as a number 10? I can see that happening. I still think this transfer is more likely to not happen than we see him leaning at Melwood soon.
