Liverpool are reportedly interested in Kylian Mbappe but could have to thank former Red, Philippe Coutinho if they manage to snag the Frenchman.
It is the wildest rumor of the Liverpool transfer window but many fans are holding out hope that the club’s interest in PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe is genuine. However they are to land the World Cup winner they may have to thank ex-LFC star Philippe Coutinho.
Paris Saint Germain are facing the prospect of losing their best two players – and two most expensive transfers of all time – in the same window. Neymar is desperate to rejoin his former club Barcelona after two years in the French capital while Mbappe has made it clear he wants to move on.

Barcelona are keen to make a deal happen for their former player but they have already committed a chunk of their transfer to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid. The only way they can afford to do the Neymar deal is if Philippe Coutinho acts as a makeweight in the transfer.
For PSG getting Coutinho is essential. They have already signed Pablo Sarabia from Sevilla to help soften the blow of losing one or both of their biggest stars but that would go nowhere near covering the loss of Neymar and Mbappe.
Despite his torrid time in Spain, Philippe Coutinho is still a huge talent that would rip apart the much criticized standard of most Ligue 1 opponents.
Also the Parisians would still have a huge ‘name’ in world soccer to help sell their brand around the globe. That is crucial for a club like theirs who have little history or standing outside of the mega-billion owners.
Simply put, there is no way PSG let both of their stars leave without Coutinho headed to France. That means if the fantastical hope of a Mbappe move to Anfield is real we need Big Phil to be brushing up on his Francais.
