Liverpool star Sadio Mane has made winning look easy after he scored his third AFCON 2019 goal as Senegal beat Uganda 1-0.

The Reds forward hit the back of the net again as he inspired his nation to victory and they will now take on Benin in the semi-final.

Mane is the competition’s lead scorer but Mohamed Salah is hot on his heels with two. He will get the chance to extend that when Egypt take on South Africa on the 6th at 8pm.

Mane scored his third of the competition with his weak foot and Liverpool fans love the fact that the forward has two equally strong feet.

While a select number of the squad are reporting back for pre-season duty ahead of the first friendly of the season against Tranmere Rovers on the 11th, Liverpool still have a number of players away on national duty.

As mentioned Salah and Mane are two, while Naby Keita has been allowed to return home because of injury but should be fit for the start of pre-season.

Fabinho missed out on Copa America action, but Alisson Becker and Roberto Firmino have been a key part of the Brazil side who will take on Peru in the final.

Firmino is having an excellent tournament and scored one and assisted the other as they beat Argentina in the semi-final as Alisson ensured Lionel Messi had another outing to forget in front of his goal.

With Liverpool’s forwards doing so well in these summer tournaments, worries have to be raised about the condition they’ll be in when the first game of the premier League season comes around.

There can be no room for error as Manchester City will be getting off to a quick start – but they don’t have every important member of their front line competing to the final stages of an international competition.
