Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said the club will keeping looking at the transfer market and may have to now as the team picks up two more injuries in pre-season.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already stated that the club will continue to look at the transfer market until the window closes (Metro) . However, there maybe a new sense of urgency after the team picked up two fresh injuries in pre-season.

The Reds played out a 2-1 loss to Sevilla last night in a scorching Fenway Park in Boston. The big news from the night was the injury suffered by pre-season breakout star Yasser Larouci.

The left-back was on the receiving end of a horror tackle from Joris Gnagnon who received a red card for the challenge. The 18-year-old was stretchered off leaving Klopp to think about heading to the transfer market for a new defender.

Since Alberto Moreno left for Villarreal on a free-transfer last month, Andrew Robertson has been the only left back with first team experience on the squad. Larouci and Adam Lewis have been battling to impress and win the backup role to the Scotsman.

Now the position looks perilously thin as Larouci will likely miss the rest of the pre-season. The club have been rumored to be in for Junior Firpo of Real Betis but the club’s valuation is too much.

Harry Wilson also picked up a facial injury in the match. While it wasn’t a serious ailment, it highlights how the club have struggled to put together a decent frontline with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane out on international duty.

Divock Origi and Rhian Brewster have looked good and will supplement the attack this season but Wilson and Ryan Kent have yet to make a strong case that they can be the third reserve attacking option for Klopp.

Before the pre-season most fans would list left-back and attack as the two positions that needed new players. These two injuries will only confirm that is what the club should look to in the last weeks of the transfer window.
