Liverpool have released a video of the top 10 goals from the 2018/2019 season to get us right in the mood and it’s amazing viewing.

The Reds scored some crackers and it must have been some job to get it down to just a handful, although there was some controversy with the omission of Divock Origi’s 90+6 goal against Everton. The vid was posted on Twitter, but scroll to the bottom of this article to see it all.

Opening up the account is Mohamed Salah’s strike against Bournemouth, while the Egyptian rounds things off with his thunderbolt against Chelsea.

So in between this Salah sandwich you can expect to view Roberto Firmino delivering the goods against Arsenal, Sadio Mane tacking the entire Watford defence for a walk and *that* quickly taken corner.

Liverpool take on Manchester City on the Community Shield on Sunday, but Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Mane might not be available for the game – said the Daily Mail.

This could give youngsters Harry Wilson and Rhian Brewster the chance to hit the ground running against City, while Origi may appear on his own end-of-season highlights real after penning that new deal.

Meanwhile Goal has reported that Klopp has said that Liverpool are going to have to learn how to cope with being the new European Champions. Them manager wants the player to forget all about that and focus on the new season.

It’s brilliant for the club but he’s right. From 1-11, the players have to start again and work from the ground up in order to repeat the successes of 2018/2019.

The Premier League will be the one everyone wants now, while City will be gunning for Champions League glory. This could be the chance Liverpool needs to capitalise on any potential league lapses as Pep Guardiola pushes for the continental competition.

Liverpool take on Norwich next Friday in the first game of the league season. It’s time to get excited.
