Liverpool 2-2 Chelsea: Firmino perplexed, Mane throttled and Salah double meg
Liverpool won the Super Cup, but did you miss why Roberto Firmino was perplexed, who throttled Sadio Mane and when Mo Salah pulled off a double meg?
The Reds were victorious in Istanbul once more after drawing 2-2 with the Blues during ordinary time.
A Mane double looked to have sealed victory for Jurgen Klopp’s team, but Jorginho struck from the spot moments before the game ended to take it to a shoot out.
Tammy Abraham saw his effort saved by Adrian, a save that handed Liverpool the win and was celebrated wildly.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was handed a start in an extremely positive move for the midfielder, even if he was withdrawn at half-time for Firmino.
Joel Matip was also named in the first XI as Joe Gomez moved to right-back while Mane was restored to his customary role on the left of the attack.
But you don’t wanna read about all that, you’re here for the Firmino perplexion, Mane throttling and Salah double meg. So scroll down to find all that out.
What confused Bobby?
So you know how there’s always, always confetti when someone wins a trophy? Well apparently nobody told the person organising the on-field celebration on Wednesday night.
So all that happened was Firmino went mad, realised he wasn’t getting showered with thousands of bits of coloured paper and really couldn’t understand what was going on.

Mane throttled
The Senegalese inside forward was on fire on his first start back for Liverpool as he scored twice and got ragged about in the process.
Firmino was so excited with his fellow forward’s contribution that he went up behind Mane and put his full forearm around Mane’s neck and squeezed.
It’s a moment of pure delight. Have a look here.
Mo double meg
So we all knew that Salah was deadly with the ball at his feet, but his composure and quick thinking under pressure is on another level as well.
The King managed to turn around one Chelsea defender, hold off another, meg a third and then meg a fourth all in the space of 10 seconds.
Oh, and he also took off down the right hand flank for good measure as well. It’s a beautiful thing to watch, so do so here.
