Liverpool starlet Ovie Ejaria is busy winning over fans during his loan spell with Championship side Reading.

Ejaria scored his first goal of the season as the Royals drew 1-1 with West Brom, and the Reds midfielder is beginning to win over fans at the start of his second spell with the club.

The 21-year-old spent the first half of 2018/2019 at Rangers, before leaving Scotland and moving down to Reading for the next stage of that campaign. Ejaria was then sent back to the second tier to develop his game, and has been called ‘an absolute baller’ by one fan on Twitter.

Ejaria is part of the talented loan army who are currently developing their game away from Liverpool, which includes Ben Woodburn (Oxford United), Marko Grujic (Hertha Berlin), Sheyi Ojo (Rangers) and Kamil Grabara (Huddersfield).

Most of these starlets are getting regular first team football, which is so vital for their development. Ejaria faces a massive task if he wants to come back to Anfield and get some more games under his belt, as congestion in the midfield area is a blessing and a curse.

Alongside senior players, the 21-year-old will also have to go up against fellow Academy lads like Curtis Jones, who hasn’t been sent on loan this season and that indicates that Jurgen Klopp wants him around the first team set up.

Liverpool have been able to help some of their lads achieve a career in the game, even if it isn’t with them. Ryan Kent could be the latest to experience this, although he may have to go on strike to force the issue.

But others like Jordan Ibe, Dominic Solanke and Danny Ward have benefited from this process and are now in a position to make a name for themselves in the professional game.
