‘Classy looking’ Rhys Williams could be Kidderminster’s best ever signing
Liverpool starlet Rhys Williams is experiencing his first loan of his career with Kidderminster Harriers and is busy winning over their fans.
The Reds sent the youngster out to National League North side Kidderminster until January, but Williams has kicked on quickly and there would be no surprise if he was playing in League Two or League One in 2020.
After starting eight games already, Williams was forced to miss out due to being called up for England U19 duty and has already scored his first goal in senior football.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to pass his way out from the back, and this is something that Shane Wilkinson from Harriers Online is impressed by.

“On the pitch for us he’s looked assured in the main part, a classy looking ball playing centre half,” commented Wilkinson – while he also added that Williams is already ‘a key part of the side’ and has all the tools required to go far.
The youngster’s other strengths include his physical presence and his ability to get around the ground, added Phil Lench from Harriers Online.
Williams could be stronger in the tackle, while the defender made one error which lead to a goal in which he got robbed trying to shepherd the ball out of play. But he’ll learn, this is all part of the experience.
That deal expires in January and both Wilkinson and Lench want to see Williams at the club for the full campaign. Kidderminster have a small squad and the youngster is already an important part of it.
The fans love him already and Lench could even see him becoming one of the side’s greatest ever loan signings – even better than Wes Morgan from Nottingham Forest.
“We all think he’ll go on to have a good career,” added Lench, while Wilkinson was more excited about Williams’ potential as he said: “He’s clearly a lad with tremendous ability and will go far.”
Just like Ben Woodburn, Liverpool have got this one right as well. The defender is getting plenty of games and is being exposed to first team football for the first time. It’s a process, but with time and patience we could see another Academy player in the first team.
