Liverpool will benefit from Chelsea missing six international players through injury ahead of their Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Liverpool Football Club face the hardest Premier League matchup of their season so far on Sunday as they head to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea. However, the Blues could be missing six international players through injury.

The latest player to reach the treatment room is newly capped Mason Mount. The England midfielder left his side’s 1-0 loss to Valencia in the Champions League with an ankle injury after only 10 minutes.

While the injury is not as bad as initially feared it is unlikely he’ll be fit to face the Reds who are looking to maintain their 100% start to the domestic season.

The Blues have three other players who have missed the last few weeks who are struggling to be ready for the visit of Jurgen Klopp’s men.

N’Golo Kante has missed four weeks with an ankle injury and may not be risked after one false start return already this season. Antonio Rudiger missed training today with a groin injury after sitting out the Champions League game on Tuesday and is also a doubt.

Italian international Emerson Palmieri also sat out in mid-week with a thigh strain but he is the nearest of the injured players to a return and could feature if he improves in the next two days.

Chelsea are also nursing back England international pair Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi. They were both injured in the second half of last season and are nearing their returns but will likely need more reserve football before being risked in the first team quite yet.

Liverpool have no new worries with injuries. Andrew Robertson will once again need to prove his fitness before getting the nod and Naby Keita is getting close but will not feature against the Blues.
