Liverpool vs Man Utd: Ole’s attack looking toothless if injury is confirmed
Liverpool will have one less thing to worry about on Sunday if Daniel James’s injury is confirmed in a blow that’ll render Man Utd toothless.
James was playing for Wales when he appeared to be knocked unconscious during their fixture against Croatia defender (and reported transfer target) Domagoj Vida.
The forward has been a key part of the Red Devils’ hit-and-hope brand of football but his pace does worry opposition defenses and the Welshman has shown some impressive composure in front of goal.
If he was ruled out of the Liverpool game because of his head injury, it would leave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a toothless attack that has one of its key tenants robbed from it.

Daniel James was allowed to continue playing after being assessed by the Wales medical team but we’ve seen that the effects of concussion can be delayed and he may well end up being unfit to play this weekend.
The player himself told Sky Sports that he wasn’t knocked out, but if you watch the videos going around on Twitter it seems pretty clear that something serious happened in the air.
With three Premier League goals this season, the 21-year-old is United’s joint-top scorer. Marcus Rashford has the same number while Anthony Martial has two in just three appearances.
Solskjaer has little creativity in midfield and doesn’t posses the full-backs to play like Liverpool do with Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold. They rely heavily on the pace of their front three and an inconsistent, unpredictable Paul Pogba to make things happen from behind them.
But with only nine league goals this season, the system hasn’t been working very well and if James is taken out of it you can’t see it posing too great a threat to Liverpool.
Hopefully the player is fine, and it looks like he might be, but head injuries need to be treated with caution and you could see a future in which he doesn’t play.
