Liverpool Football Club have pumped up the fans with just five words about Curtis Jones on the official LFC Instagram account.
There are few things Liverpool fans love more than a local hero. Maybe winning European Cups, but that’s about it. The club have tapped into the fanbase hunger for Scouse stars with their latest post about Curtis Jones on Instagram.
The 18-year-old attacker had a crucial role in the side progressing to the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup during the 10-goal thriller against Arsenal that the Reds won on penalties after tying the match 5-5 in dramatic fashion.

Curtis Jones came off the subs bench on 55 minutes to replace Naby Keita. The Guinean had underwhelmed in the attacking midfield role and Jurgen Klopp turned to the youngster to give the team more verve when they were 4-2 down.
Just seven minutes after his introduction the score was level at 4-4 as Jones was involved in both goals, grabbing the assist for Divock Origi‘s first goal of the night.
But his best moment of a memorable Anfield debut came as he tucked away the fifth penalty of the shoot out to send his side through to the next round.
Fans were quick to praise the technique and confidence of Jones on social media last night but were hugely energized by the official Liverpool Instagram account that accompanied a picture of him celebrating with five key words:
“Scouser. Winning penalty. Kop end.”

It doesn’t get much better than that for a teenager making his first appearance in front of the world-famous Kop.
Pep Lijnders had referred specifically to Jones when addressing the young players before the game stating that “passion and ambition” aren’t enough to succeed at Anfield. There needs to be high levels of intensity to complement talent to thrive in Klopp’s side.
He showed everyone plenty of intensity and tactical discipline in his cameo performance yesterday. Perhaps more than many of the senior players on the field. Let’s hope this is just the beginning of a beautiful relationship between Curtis Jones and the Kop.
