Liverpool Football Club have been thrown into the spotlight as the most likely destination for Jadon Sancho as one journalist reveals transfer window intentions.

Liverpool have become very careful and subtle in their transfer dealings in recent windows; keeping business quiet. But it looks like one journalist has lifted the lid on the club’s plans to move for Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho.

The England international has been linked to an Anfield move since his sudden rise to prominence in the BVB first team last season. He ticks almost every box for a player the Reds would covet.

He is talented with incredible technique and is productive with goals and assists. He also has the tactical discipline, team ethic and hard-working traits Jurgen Klopp demands in his players.

Add to that he is young, English and plays for a club that the manager has an excellent relationship with and you can see why everyone thinks this deal makes sense.

Now former Premier League striker and current journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft is claiming on Twitter that Liverpool are favorites for his signature and the player wants to come to Anfield in January.

This news is in keeping with other rumors. Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann claimed a month ago that the club have a huge interest in Jadon Sancho.

The player is also a ‘Nike’ sponsored athlete. After the huge kit manufacturing deal signed by the club with Nike it has been rumored that the club will sign a high-profile player who has their sponsorship with the US athletic wear company.

While linking Sancho to Liverpool is not fresh news the prospect of him arriving in January would be a big shock as the Reds were expected to let the next transfer window pass without too much activity.

Instead the consensus has been a big move will happen in the summer. Perhaps Sancho’s desire to leave and LFC poised to win more trophies will convince the club to pull off the transfer maneuver next month.
