Liverpool fans have been ranked 12th of all fandoms on the FanSided 250 and came second in the soccer category but first among club sides.
It is the time of year for ‘best of’ lists and rankings. And as it is the end of a decade we get twice as many this year! Liverpool fans have been handed 12th place this year on the FanSided 250.
RushTheKop is part of a huge network of fan sites called FanSided and every year they rank the top 250 fandoms. This includes all sports, movies, franchises and celebrities. It’s pretty comprehensive.

And the Reds did well. Liverpool supporters came 12th overall – Marvel fans came first, LA Laker fans second and Star Wars fans third.
Liverpool fans were ranked second among soccer fans and first among club supporters – only fans of the USA Women’s National Team came before them in the soccer category.
The claimed the seventh among sports fans behind the Lakers, Kansas City chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, USWNT, New Orleans Pelican center Zion Williamson, NBA champions LA Clippers and Serena Williams.
It is a very high placing for the Kopites on an American website; they came above New York Yankees (13th), Dallas Cowboys (17th), Tom Brady (18th) and Liverpool shareholder, LeBron James (19th).
Three other Premier League teams appear on the list Arsenal (21st), Manchester United (41st) and Tottenham Hotspur (106th).
The small profile on Liverpool quotes Jurgen Klopp saying:

Liverpool fans are known the world over for being some of the most passionate in all sport. Last year’s 4-0 thrashing of Barcelona reminded the world again just how great Kopites are and what a cauldron Anfield can be.
