Liverpool ace labelled ‘the new Cristiano’ by Dutch legend
Dutch legend Danny Blind has called a Liverpool superstar ‘the new Cristiano Ronaldo’ after his excellent 2019.
The Mirror has reported that Blind thinks extremely highly of one of the squad as he made favourable comparisons between the Portuguese worldbeater and Lionel Messi.
“Sadio Mane is the new Ronaldo in world football,” the tabloid reported that the former Netherlands coach said.
Blind loves Mane’s ability to score with either foot and his head, his pace, his athleticism, his ability to provide for the rest of the team and the way the forward keeps going for the full 90 minutes.

Jurgen Klopp seems to have transformed the Senegal international’s game and he’s now mentally tough enough to put missed chances out of his mind and take the next one that’s on offer.
Mane hit 22 Premier League goals last season as he shared the top scorer honours with Liverpool mate Mohamed Salah and Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in an amazing year for African forwards.
The ex-Southampton man has started 2019/2020 incredible well and already has nine goals and six assists in 15 league games and 13 in 22 overall appearances.
After spending some time in Salah’s shadow, you’d argue that Mane is the most important part of the front three. Klopp is extremely reluctant to take him off and the Senegal legend has completed 90 minutes in his last nine league starts.
Virgil van Dijk may have finished second in the Ballon D’or rankings, but if Sadio Mane continues to perform at this rate it won’t be long before he’s challenging the might of Ronaldo and Messi.
With 72 goals and 30 assists in 145 games for Liverpool, Mane has already cemented himself as one of the top forwards this decade and will continue to write his name into the pages of Liverpool history the longer he stays at the club. This could be a golden era for the club and the Senegalese is leading the way.
