Liverpool star Mohamed Salah as being forced to ‘keep a little smile in’ the whole time he’s been in Qatar, but what is causing this joy?

The official club website have revealed that the Egyptian is the most adored out of the whole Reds squad  – and he’s loving it.

Speaking about their time in the Middle East, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain told Liverpool media that the reception the King is doing him the world of good.

"“It’s nice to see every time they call his name. I have a little cheeky look over and see what he’s doing. He’s trying to keep a little smile in, but I can see inside it makes him really happy and proud.”"

Mohamed Salah started the semi-final win against Monterrey, much to the delight of the supporters crammed into the stadium. They will be begging Jurgen Klopp to name the forward in the starting side for Saturday, but will fitness concerns prevent Salah from playing?

The former Roma man has developed a reputation for having the nicest cheeky smile in football, while his charity work has not gone unnoticed. Much like other players from poor backgrounds, he gives back to his old community as much as he can and we should all applaud this.

Liverpool have never won the Club World Cup and they’ve got an excellent chance to do so. Klopp gambled and put all his eggs in the intercontinental basket by fielding an Academy side against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup, so you’d assume the German will send out a strong side.

Anything less than a win will count as a disappointment for the staff, although Brazilian side Flamengo will be no shmucks as they are taking this tournament incredibly seriously.

They feature a few players who went to Europe with big reputations and price tags before finding life difficult and returning to their homeland. Surely they will want to prove their ability against the best side in Europe.

Liverpool can expect a fight, but with Mohamed Salah in the team they will have a legion of ready made fans cheering them on.
