Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is seen taking Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson to task in the latest video in the ‘Inside’ series.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp does not need anymore injuries to his squad that is has having it’s depth tested at the moment. That is why he cautions Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold in the latest video from the official site.

The newest video to the ‘Inside’ series is called ‘Inside Training’ and follows Takumi Minamino’s first day training with the squad as the players prepare for last night’s 2-0 victory over Sheffield United.

There is plenty of footage of Minamino meeting his teammates before the squad sings ‘Happy Birthday’ to assistant Peter Krawietz – in English and German (led by Klopp), in Arabic (led by Mohamed Salah) and in Japanese (led by Minamino).

The players then engage in a few rounds of Rondo where four players are in a circle having to keep the ball from two players in the center who are pressing them.

There follows a clip of Robertson and Alexander-Arnold trying to keep the ball in the air between them. But their competitive natures come through as they begin to exert themselves. The on-looking Klopp playfully reminds them that this is a recovery session:

"“You two idiots, you know we have a recovery day, right? Second day recovery.”"

Klopp can ill-afford to lose any other players to injury let alone that pair. There is currently no speciality cover for either full back in the first team squad and they are both crucial to the way the Reds play defensively and in attack.

The groin strain suffered by Naby Keita in the pre-game warm up last night only compounds the growing injury list. Nat Phillips has been recalled from loan and was seen joining in the with his teammates in the footage. You can watch the full video here:

Both players are likely to be rested on Sunday when Liverpool face Everton in the FA Cup third round at Anfield.
