‘Pathetic’ – Liverpool fans react to Man Utd manager mind games
By David Gate
Liverpool fans are laughing at Man Utd manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his feeble attempt to play mind games before the sides clash in the Premier League.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp doesn’t have to be good at managerial mind games because his side is so good. Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t have the same quality in his squad nor talent as a manager or leader so he’s trying his best.
However, Reds can see right through the Norwegian’s pathetic attempts to imitate his hero Alex Ferguson. It is kind of hilarious.

Man Utd are sweating on the fitness of Marcus Rashford after he aggravated a back injury against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup third round replay on Wednesday night. He had only been on the pitch for 15 minutes after coming on as a sub.
Rashford has been their best player this season stepping up to score 19 goals in the competition and United are trying to convince Klopp that he won’t start on Sunday.
Solskjaer says on the official MUFC website:
"“We’re going to do some more checks and treatment with him today. Yesterday of course was just a recovery day anyway and some treatment for him. I haven’t seen him this morning, but I’m not going to hold my breath. I would probably think that he wouldn’t be ready, but let’s see. There’s still 48 hours, more than that, so let’s see.”"
All this ‘will he play/won’t he play’ nonsense is far more effective when it is a title race. But Man Utd are not challenging for the title. They are 27 points behind Liverpool (in January). Instead they are battling it out with Sheffield United and Wolves for a spot in the Europa League next season.
Here are what some of the Kopites think about Solskjaer’s comments:
Manchester United are the only team to take points from Liverpool in the league this season. Klopp and his side will be desperate to avenge that one blip on an otherwise perfect Premier League campaign.
