The worst ever take on Liverpool star Jordan Henderson has been hand delivered to us by Sky Sports.

Why does this keep on happening, and why does one of the biggest broadcasters in the world keep on giving people a mandate to spurt spurious claims that have a small grip on reality.

And this time they gave airtime to a bunch of FIFA players, who are good on a PlayStation but have less value in the real world, to talk nonsense and give them a nonsensical headline to splash all over Twitter.

To be fair to them, we’ve pounced all over it but the claim about Jordan Henderson is so silly that we can’t help but get wound up about it.

More from Rush The Kop

Apparently Hendo isn’t a good player, just stands around barking orders and has robbed a living by being in this side. According to the panel, he’s overhyped because he’s English and all of that nonsense.

But to anyone who has watched Liverpool consistently, you can see he’s so much more than that. Jurgen Klopp doesn’t suffer fools gladly and wouldn’t have built this Premier League winning machine around anyone who was just a mouthpiece.

You don’t get in this side unless you’re a top professional who can change games at the highest level whenever you want. Henderson might not have loads of goals and assists but that isn’t his job – especially not with Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold bombing down the flanks.

But Henderson has got more to offer, as we’ve seen whenever Klopp allows the skipper off his leash. He can get forward and score goals and grab assists and that’s a valuable part of the England international’s output that is often overlooked.

Next. Jordan Henderson is a lot but he’s not a defender. dark

So next time just watch the game instead of getting opinions from some dude that’s good on FIFA – you’ll be able to form a much better idea of what is actually happening.
