Liverpool have no excuses against decimated Bournemouth
Liverpool have got no excuse against a decimated Bournemouth as they prepare to take on the Cherries on Saturday in the Premier League.
The Cherries are without several of their key players and almost a whole attacking line up as they will try and score the goals they need to earn Anfield points.
Firstly, Harry Wilson won’t be able to play because he’s ineligible to take on Liverpool. He’s been slightly limited for Eddie Howe this season but still has seven league goals under his belt and those have been valuable in their struggle against falling into the relegation zone.
New signing and tricky winger Arnaut Danjuma is also out, which takes another option away from Howe in forward areas and David Brooks continues his length fight to return to the Premier League this season.

With Bournemouth robbed of those three players, Liverpool have no excuse not to register a much needed victory before they take on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League second leg.
Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez will be back together as the enforced change of Dejan Lovren is no longer required. That will add some extra stability to the back four and should allow them to play that higher line with fewer worries about it being breached.
Recent history is also on Liverpool’s side, although we know that counts for little these days. But the Reds have been so dominant that anything less than a win here will be truly shocking. The last five meetings between the two outfits have yielded no goals to the Cherries and an incredible 17 to Liverpool.
This is exactly the type of game the forward three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah need to get them firing on all cylinders again after disappointing against Watford. We need to see a clean sheet, plenty of shots and loads of attacking intent from this fine side.
Anything less will be unacceptable.
