‘Shag me James’ Liverpool announcement has fans excited
A Liverpool announcement has fans so excited one offered his services to respected journalist James Pearce.
You’ve heard of shooting the messanger, right? Well this is the complete opposite as Pearce’s announcement caused massed waves of excitement among Reds everywhere as some of them offered the Athletic writer a good time.
And that’s because it was confirmed that the Reds could still win the league by picking up three points at Goodison Park on Monday.
Manchester United beat Manchester City on Sunday as Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay hit the back of the net to give Pep Guardiola an awful time of it at Old Trafford.
Despite completely dominating possession for the whole game, Guardiola just couldn’t engineer a way through the Red Devils’ defence as Raheem Sterling struggled again and failed to impose himself in a big game.

From being an absolute star in 2018/2019, Sterling’s form has plummeted as City have struggled to keep up with Liverpool.
You’d hate to see it.
So if City fail to get more than four points from their games against Arsenal and Burnley then Liverpool are in with a chance of winning the league by beating Everton on their own patch.
But whatever happens, Jurgen Klopp only needs six more points and the Premier League is ours!
We’ve had the slight wobble with the loss against Watford, but the come-from-behind win at home to Bournemouth put the side in excellent health and it got Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah firing again and that’s important.
Now this week becomes even more important for Liverpool. We need to beat Atletico to keep our Champions League hopes alive and take those good vibes and good form into the Everton game on Monday.
Securing the title at Goodison would be an absolutely perfect way to end a season that has verged on being perfect for so long.
