There is still room for growth and improvement

Even with the Reds flying high in their historic season, there are still signs of weaknesses within the club.

The inability to break down defensive sides has always been a problem for the Reds and that was reinforced recently with a Champions League defeat to Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid. A solution could be a change in approach from a tactical point-of-view.

Fans have been crying out for more Naby Keita playtime when he’s fit as his progressive style of play could be the answer to Klopp’s problems. Perhaps, the solution can come from outside the club with reinforcement in the attack with Timo Werner being rumored.

Another problem the Reds still face is a lack of firepower off the bench. In the games where they struggle to break down a defense, there aren’t that many game-changing options that Klopp can call on. The usual substitutes Divock Origi and James Milner haven’t been as effective this season as they were in the last. However, there is potential for new boy Takumi Minamino, as well as youngsters Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott, to take the role as the first man off the bench. Even the defensive options, Dejan Lovren and Adrian, have been prone to mistakes this season and can be improved.

There should be no reason for complacency this summer as there is still a lot of room for improvement.
