Experience
It’s all well and good producing the best youngsters in the country but they have to have someone to lead them through games and Willian could be that man.
With 226 Premier League appearances and 69 international caps for Brazil, the forward is hugely experienced and could pass on that wealth of knowledge to youngsters like Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones.

Not only that, but the Brazilian has 584 professional appearances under his belt with 99 goals and 130 assists. That’s not a bad brain to pick if you want to know how to get to the top of your game and then stay there.
Liverpool haven’t shied away from bringing in guys in the latter stages of their careers, either. Adrian is one example, James Milner another – although less so. Even if this is a trend we’ve seen less and less under Jurgen Klopp, the German has shown that he’s willing to be flexible for the right person.
That experience can also translate into good performances on the pitch. Willian is getting older but he’s shown that he can still make a difference, which is something Liverpool have lacked from the reserve players at times. Seven goals and six assists in 37 appearances in all competitions proves that the Brazilian is still capable at this level.
