Players making waves at this age are normally special, but not all of them break records like Camavinga.
Even if he makes a move away from the French side in this summer or next, there’s no doubt he’ll be remembered or go down in history.

And that’s because he’s the youngest player in their history to sign professional terms, having done so just a few days after his 16th birthday. Just four months later, he made his top flight debut at just 16 years, four months and 27 days.
Records would tumble again when Camavinga lined up against Monaco as he became the first person born after January 2002 to feature in one of the top five European leagues and then shortly after when he became the youngster player to be awarded Ligue 1 Player of the Month.
That doesn’t always translate to professional success, but it’s clear the midfielder has something about him. Clubs don’t throw players in at the deep end for no reason, and they don’t fire them into the first team at the first possible chance if it’s going to harm their career.
Liverpool rate Harvey Elliott highly, and rightly so, and we often hear that we can’t believe how young Elliot still is. This man is like Rennes’ Elliott, except he’s already played more than 2000 minutes for the first team in a vital position.
