Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ruins Arsenal lives
Liverpool star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has returned to haunt his former club Arsenal by ruining their lives over a transfer move.
When you get to the top, teams tend to compete for a lot of the same transfer targets. Liverpool and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have just been caught in the middle of an epic wangle.
Arsenal sold the midfielder to Jurgen Klopp when he had lost his way a little bit. They didn’t really know where to use him, or what to use him for.
How things have changed.
As well as helping Liverpool to run away with the Premier League this season and get to the Champions League final two years ago, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is ruining their lives in the transfer market too.
They are looking to improve quickly under Mikel Arteta, who took over from the fairly ineffective Unai Emery and has attempted to impose his brand of Pep Guardiola-ball on the Gunners.
One missing piece of the puzzle could now be denied to them by their former player.

The Daily Mail has reported that Atletico Madrid man Thomas Partey, who impressed during the Champions League against Liverpool, is an Arsenal target. But their chances of signing him have been greatly diminished.
A reason for this is because Madrid want to swap their man for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. No cash, just a swap deal.
Apparently that’s the only way Partey will be leaving Spain. Unlucky Arteta.
However, you can’t really see Klopp or Liverpool going for this. The Ox has become more important to the side as the season has lengthened and he’s recovered fully from that horrendous knee injury he suffered.
The former Gunner has scored some important goals and make some excellent contributions since Christmas, and has even displaced Naby Keita as the go-to man if Fabinho, Jordan Henderson or Georginio Wijnaldum aren’t available.
So I guess Arsenal can forget about that deal then.
