There have been consistent rumors of Dejan Lovren leaving Liverpool this summer and looking back on his time on the Merseyside it might be good riddance. Or will it be?
But how will he be remembered by the Liverpool fans he left behind?
Dejan Lovren was purchased from Southampton on July 27, 2014, for a reported fee of £20 million, becoming the most expensive Liverpool defender at the time.
He has since made over 180 appearances for the first team across all competitions and has scored eight goals across all competitions.
There have been many ups and downs along the journey for Lovren during his Anfield career. He scored the stoppage-time winner in the 4-3 dramatic Europa League quarter-final win against Borussia Dortmund.
This is also the same man who was subbed off in 30 minutes during the Tottenham game in 2017 after conceding two quick goals.
Lovren demanded a transfer request during the summer of 2019, but Klopp had refused because he needed cover in case of injury, which was the case.

It turned out to be the right decision as Joel Matip went down with an injury as well as Joe Gomez and Lovren proved to be a capable option.
Recent rumors have shown that AS Roma is still interested in Lovren and adding them to their ranks. Would Liverpool fans enjoy seeing Lovren off to Italy or would they prefer to see them in their squad for next year?
Twitter certainly has made their viewpoint visible with many people posting of Dejan Lovren mishaps. It seems you can not go a day without finding one.
While Lovren can provide Liverpool an experienced option for center-back, he just does not compete with the likes of Matip and Gomez for the spot next to Virgil Van Dijk. Also, with Sepp van den Berg coming through the ranks, Lovren does not see to fit into the future plans of Liverpool.
He has served as a capable option for Klopp for the past six years but if the Reds are to continue to be a world-class team and grow the brand of Liverpool, then they should offload Lovren as soon as an offer comes in hand.
He will always be remembered for the goal against Borussia Dortmund but sadly, he will also be remembered for all the mistakes he made along the way.
