Liverpool have agreed terms with an international full-back.
This news comes after Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp put the team through a practise game at Anfield, in which Naby Keita impressed.
The manager is preparing the side to get ready for a return to Premier League football, but we all know that the scouting department never sleeps and sporting director Michael Edwards is always on the hunt for a bargain.
We’ve seen big money deals linked with Liverpool, with the latest being a proposed swap deal involving a first team regular and Kalidou Koulibaly.
However, central defence isn’t really an area of the field that gives Klopp too many concerns. Both Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are excellent players, while Dejan Lovren is an able understudy.
No, out wide is where more strength in depth is required.
Cover for right-back isn’t too much of an issue as we have Neco Williams coming through the ranks.
The Welshman impressed during his FA Cup and Carabao Cup appearances and looks set to play some role in the first team for 2020/2021, but we haven’t found the right Academy starlet to provide support to Andy Robertson.

Could this latest news be the move we’ve all been hoping for?
A staff writer for LiverpoolFC.com broke the news that 17-year-old England age-group international full-back James Norris has signed professional terms with the club.
He made his debut for the side in the Carabao Cup game against Aston Villa and was named on the bench in the FA Cup win over Shrewsbury Town, but has finally signed on the dotted line with the club.
Norris has been in Liverpool ranks since the age of nine and will now look to kick on and secure a place as a professional footballer following his first deal.
It’s exciting times for supporters, who will want to see how the full-back develops. This could be another homegrown option to fill the ranks, which will leave more money to go after the big deals.
