Liverpool will say goodbye to Nathaniel Clyne.
Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne looks to be on the out at the end of the month as Liverpool decides not to renew his contract for the remainder of the extended season.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Premier League has been extended through to the end of July, and with several players contracts ending in June, we have seen extensions being made.
Harry Wilson has extended his loan at Bournemouth until the end of the season while Adam Lallana has committed to signing a contract extension until the end of the new season, after which he will be free to sign with any team.
One player who has yet to sign any form of a contract extension with Liverpool and it is Nathaniel Clyne. The former England international has been recovering from a torn ACL which he suffered in a preseason match against Borussia Dortmund this past summer.
With clubs allowed to train against last month, Clyne has been training on his own as he continues to recover from his injury.
There have been no talks between the club and Clyne regarding a contact extension beyond June 30th. After June 30th, Clyne will be able to sign a contract with any other club, however not play with them until the next season.

Clyne has been as a serviceable member of the Liverpool squad since he joined from Southhampton in 2015.
Jurgen Klop requires his full-backs to be able to provide the width and be the main source of attack out wide, and while the former Saints man is good defensively, his game lacks the attacking penetration that Klopp needs.
His injury comes at a bad time, and there’s a good chance Clyne would have been more involved this season without it.
Otherwise, there were a number of rumours linking him with a permanent move away from the club before the ACL injury.
Clyne has made over 100 appearances for the Reds during all competitions and went on loan to Bournemouth last season, where he made 15 appearances for the Cherries, but returned to Liverpool this past summer.
The Englishman has battled injuries over the years and this has allowed for Trent Alexander-Arnold to come in and take over the starting right-back spot.
With Neco Williams in the wings as well, there does seem to be room for Nathaniel Clyne at Liverpool.
