Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella will leave the club soon.

His final destination hasn’t been announced, until now.

After joining from Valencia, the Spaniard has struggled for first team minutes until this season. Jurgen Klopp trusted the youngster in several cup games and he never disappointed, but his time at Anfield is still over.

Six first team appearances added to his previous five in 2015/2016. Brendon Rodgers played him in the FA Cup, Europa League and Premier League but things never really worked out for the 23-year-old.

Go Ahead Eagles and Willem II gave him the opportunity to play in Europe, while the midfielder turned down a permanent move to Rosenborg in favour of giving it one more season with Liverpool.

If the Spaniard was a few years younger then there’s every chance he would have broken into the first team for next season.

But we’ve seen that Klopp doesn’t like keeping players on with the club who won’t get much football and who need to play to help their development.

Ryan Kent was one of those – he had his fair few loan deals away before securing something permanent with Rangers.

Now Pedro Chirivella is due the same move.

French sources have stated that Chirivella will join Nantes when his Liverpool contract expires.

A staff writer for Foot Sur 7 quoted a reported in Ouest France that said the midfielder will link up with the French side on a three-year contract after passing a medical.

That’ll bring an end to his five year spell at Anfield and hopefully give him the first team football he needs to develop and improve as a player.

First team football will be extremely important for him at this stage and if Nantes can give that to him, there’s no reason why Chirivella can’t establish himself as a Ligue 1 star.

And he’ll go with everyone at the club’s blessings.
