Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been handed a boost.
The race for the Premier League Golden Boot has been hotting up and now we’re getting into real interesting territory.
Mohamed Salah is trying to be the top flight’s leading scorer for a third season in a row, but he’s a hanging around in third place on the ladder.
Salah is level with Manchester City star Sergio Aguero and one behind Arsenal hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. But events on Wednesday have opened the door to the Egyptian.
He now has to score just once to go level with Aubameyang, but Salah is three goals behind Leicester City star Jamie Vardy, who has 19 for the season.
Aubameyang and Aguero failed to hit the back of the net as City walked all over Arsenal to win 3-0. That result means that Liverpool will have to beat Everton on Sunday and then do the same against Crystal Palace at Anfield.
The Gunners got their season back with the worst possible performance.

They got hit by two injuries and a red card for David Luiz, who spent 25 minutes on the pitch and made two mistakes that lead to goals before being sent off.
Aguero nearly hit the back of the net, as his shot cannoned off the post and teed up Phil Foden to stroke home City’s third.
Salah has been in ridiculous form since arriving from Roma three seasons ago.
The King really hit the ground running and has never really slowed down since that mad debut season.
He’s come a long way since being written off as a Chelsea flop and spending a few years in Italy, but he’s taken his game to a different level and is one of the best forwards in the world.
Liverpool have an excellent record against Everton and Salah will be feeling confident in his quest for goals.
