Should Liverpool make a move for Bukayo Saka?
Bukayo Saka has done fairly well for Arsenal this season so far, scoring three goals and grabbing ten assists in 32 games across all competitions.
The teenager has been linked to Liverpool for some time now and a recent report from Football Insider claims that the Reds are interested in him. Saka’s current contract with Arsenal expires in 2021 and the Gunners are willing to offer a new deal in order to keep him.
With Liverpool being linked to the youngster lately, the common question on the mind of every fan is: “Do we really need to sign this lad?” And my answer would be “Yes we do” and I’ll explain why.
Liverpool have a world-class left-back in Andy Robertson who is possibly the best in his position at the moment, along with Alphonso Davies.
However, the only backup to the Scottish international is James Milner who is currently 34 and even though he is someone who manages to stay fit, another option is needed and Saka would be a pretty good addition.
He has made 15 appearances for Arsenal this season so far as a left-back and netted a goal against Bournemouth in the FA Cup while providing four assists.

Saka is a player who is capable of playing on a variety of positions on the left-hand side of the pitch and this includes left wing.
Liverpool currently have one of the best players in the world in that position in Sadio Mane.
With the AFCON coming in January, the Senegal international could well miss a few games and it would be more suitable to have someone like Saka in that position rather than Divock Origi who seems better off playing as a centre-forward.
As a left-winger this season, the 18-year-old has amassed a goal and three assists in 12 appearances this season so far.
With City already having a strong squad and Chelsea bringing in the likes of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, Liverpool need to make some signings and strengthen their squad if they are to enjoy a strong season in 2020/21.
Saka has shown a lot of promise this season and is someone the Reds should try to sign. He wouldn’t be a regular but could be someone who could always feature in the Cup games and increase Liverpool’s chances of winning any of the Cup competitions.
Jurgen Klopp could often rely on Saka to fill in for Robertson or Mane when needed.
