Chelsea will be dying to rain on our parade, and the German will stop that by selecting a strong team. Williams has been given a taste of first team action but that should be left to the final game of the season and Trent Alexander-Arnold restored.
Liverpool don’t look anywhere near as strong going forward without the right-back in the side, and his combination play with Mohamed Salah is always excellent.
Andy Robertson will start at left-back because there is nobody else, not even James Milner. Milner hasn’t been fit and surely won’t be risked in this game?
Robertson is another who is vital to how Klopp sets his team up and his ammunition for the forward line will help Liverpool get something out of this game.
Dejan Lovren could start here, but do you really want to take your chances with the Croatian? His stock has fallen alarmingly since the disaster of a cameo against Everton and it’s bound to be the Joe and Virgil show on Wednesday night.
Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk are the pair to beat and this Chelsea game isn’t going to change that.
