Liverpool in desperate attempt to sign the ‘next Pulisic’

Liverpool are looking to sign the ‘next Pulisic.’
The American influence on Liverpool has been hugely felt ever since FSG’s takeover in 2011. From having American brands as the manufacturers of the club’s kits, to Lebron James’ influence and the club’s use of data analysis to scout players, copied from NFL and NBA clubs.
But perhaps one thing which has eluded the Reds so far and would be hugely desired by the club’s owner is to have an American player in the squad.
The Reds’ interest in Christian Pulisic was no secret. Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool desperately pursued the rapid American winger prior to his switch to Chelsea. It was a loss which was bitter for the Reds, especially considering how well Pulisic has done at Stamford Bridge since his arrival in London.

However with America perhaps having produced their golden generation since the inception of the sport, there is now more opportunity than ever for the Reds to recruit a skilled American to the squad.
Liverpool were linked with a move for Weston McKennie before his switch to Juventus and now the club are being tipped to make a move for another American.
Gio Reyna is regarded by many as Christian Pulisic’s heir in Dortmund. The 17 year old American forward has been hugely impressive since making his debut for the black and yellows. He has already netted his first Bundesliga goal this season and has registered four assists in just three games for Dortmund.
His hot has form purportedly alerted the Reds interest. According to German outlet Bild via AS Jurgen Klopp is desperate to bring Gio Reyna to Anfield in the near future with the club believing Reyna could emulate Christian Pulisic’s impressive rise.
Gio Reyna is a player with a low-centre of gravity who is able to skip past players with ease. He has an abundance of pace, but he excels when he is in possession, able to dart through his opponents with ingenious tricks or by threading the ball through to a teammate.
He resembles Philippe Coutinho and could be the ideal replacement for the Brazilian.
Marketing-wise the Gio Reyna’s transfer would be a hugely lucrative move for the club and one the FSG owners would be desperate to make into a reality.
Would you be happy with the arrival of Gio Reyna?
