This young star wants to move to Liverpool.

It’s a dream we all possess. A dream that millions hold around the globe. Yet very few ever manage to reach it. For most it is a something you can only imagine in your wildest dreams. For others the dream to play for Liverpool is a little bit more tangible.

Jay Idzes probably falls in the latter category. At 20 years of age, the young Dutchman has already achieved feats most could only dream of. He is a professional footballer who has been playing regular football since the age of 18 in the Dutch second division.

Jay Idzes has been impressive too and has earned some esteemed reviews.

More from Rush The Kop

A midfielder with a large stature and exemplary technical skills, Jay Idzes is of the same ilk as Fabinho.

And the 20 year old has admitted that he dreams of following in the footsteps of Fabinho.

Speaking to Voetball Zone via Football Transfer Tavern Jay Idzes spoke of how he dreams to play for Liverpool in the future.

The young Dutchman said the following:

"“And then I don’t even care what level I have reached. Of course, I dream of Liverpool, but I will have to show how far I can get.”"

Of course Jay Idzes has a lot more to go if he is to make it to Anfield. However, the club have signed plenty of stars in recent times who first made their name in the Netherlands.

Virgil Van Dijk and Giorginio Wijnaldum are two of the biggest names to note.

There has also been Sepp Van den Berg who arrived at the club two summers ago.

If Jay Idzes continues to perform and catch the eye, given time there is no reason why he cannot fulfil his dreams and aspirations.

Like many of us, he has a dream and he is closer than most.

Reds supporters love to watch players who play with the passion and enthusiasm for the shirt. With Jay Idzes being a supporter of the club from when he was young, he will understand that and that could be a huge asset.

The Liverpool shirt is precious and special as is the Anfield turf. Players who understand its significance usually perform better and win themselves into the hearts of the Kop.

Do you think Jay Idzes will one day play for the club?
