The Reds’ coach is always looking for the next talent to develop and bring to a new realm.

Currently, the likes of Curtis Jones and Neco Williams are earning indelible experience working under his arms.

But the club could add yet more talent to their current pool.

According to Swedish outlet Expressen via the Daily Mail, the club sent scouts to watch Icelandic teenager Isak Bergmann Johannesson in his recent outing for Swedish club Norrkoping.

Isak Bergmann Johannesson is regarded as his country’s best talent in a generation and there are high hopes for the teenager going forward.

Despite his tender age he has been outstanding in the Swedish first division this season. In 23 games he scored 3 goals and registered 8 assists in Sweden’s elite tier.

Understandably that has attracted the attention of scouts from all over Europe.

An agile and pacey winger who is also capable of playing in the central midfield role, Isak Bergmann Johannesson loves to drive past his opponents using his rapid acceleration.

His pace will suit Jurgen Klopp’s style of play well, but what is even more impressive is Johannesson’s ability to find the right paces and to penetrate the opposition with his astute vision by threading defence splitting passes through to his teammates.

Isak Bergmann Johannesson’s versatility could be another huge asset which will entice him to the club.

The Reds’ will have to fight fierce competition for the Icelandic talent however. Manchester United are another club purportedly interested in the young midfielder’s services.

If Isak Bergmann Johannesson were to move to Liverpool, he wouldn’t be the first Icelandic star to represent the Reds. Victor Palsson also had a stint in the club’s academy.

Johannesson will be hoping his spell would be more successful.

Do you think Isak Bergmann Johannesson would be a good signing?
